We went into the store and spoke extensively with a sales agent who followed us around, asked good questions and provided us with all the information she thought we wanted to hear. She knew EXACTLY what we were looking for and talked us into the exact loveseat to purchase. She provided us with a print out of the piece and the exact pricing. Except she didn’t-what she gave us was the lower version of the product, the cheaper version. So she talked it up in store-how much the total with all the correct features we wanted but then gave us the paperwork for the lower version that didn’t have all the features we wanted. So when I got home and ordered what was on the paperwork, I assumed she had given us what we talked about and agreed on in store. I feel like it was a very large bait and switch. The pricing she gave us in store matched exactly what was on the paperwork-yet the product that was on the paperwork was NOT what we agreed on in store. I feel foolish that I didn't realize she has switched out products before placing the actual order. Because I ordered what was on the paperwork, the blame is on me, but she should be fired for giving people false information to trick them into thinking they are getting what they wanted for the price she quoted. I will not shop in City furniture again and this seriously makes me worry about my Ashley Furniture purchases as well.
I feel very tricked and fooled and won’t be spending anymore of my money with City Furnitte unless they were to make this situation right and agree to sell us the product that was actually agreed upon in store versus what she wrote up on the paperwork to order without charging me more money.
I was duped once-it won’t happen a second time.
