The website experience was ok. Shipping and premium shipping changed when I went over a dollar amount which was not explained anywhere. Further, the reason for making an online purchase was due to the incredibly bad experience my wife and I had at the Sarasota, Florida location yesterday. The sales person misrepresented the “free delivery” and the “additional premium warranty” available stating it would cover accidental issues for the three years. Not the case. When she presented the iPad with the order, the premium delivery was not “free” rather $189.95 and she had already included the additional warranty without asking. We agreed to take the warranty on all the items but pushed back on the delivery fee. She then went and spoke with the manager and presented us with some funny math order which they stated would cover the premium shipping at no additional charge. This simply was not the case and when I pointed out their error in their math, she decided to go back and speak with the manager again and after waiting for her for 23 minutes, we just left and walked out. The manager and salesperson were obviously trying to pull a fast one and got caught. Over the years, we have purchased upwards of $35,000 for both this home and another property we own. Most of the purchases were made at the Clearwater location. If it wasn’t for the time we wasted yesterday at the Sarasota showroom, I would NOT be purchasing from City Furniture.

Overall, it was a good experience, and I found a bed I love for our island home! I do wish the product details were more complete. The bed’s weight capacity wasn’t listed, and the chatbot couldn’t provide it. Even after I shared the bed’s SKU, it also couldn’t tell me whether the accent pillows pictured were available to purchase. Having those details and links to the accessories shown would make shopping much easier. I’m excited about the bed, but getting answers to those questions would have helped me feel more confident ordering.

I like the website, however, for smaller items shipping is really expensive, I just needed 1 pillow case and it would have basically doubled the price of the item to ship it to my house, so I am just going to drive about an hour to pick it up. We love city home and typically buy in person, but the website is nice!
