This was my first time purchasing from PartsGeek, although technically my second attempt. Initially, I had my sister use her address for delivery since it's safer for packages to sit outside there due to my work schedule. However, PartsGeek canceled the order because the billing and shipping addresses didn’t match. I understand and appreciate their effort to prevent fraud, but in my case, it was inconvenient since I didn’t have my ID handy to verify the billing address.
While I was chatting with a customer service assistant, they proactively canceled the incorrect order and helped me verify the accuracy and fitment of the part I had selected. Turns out I had chosen the wrong part for my vehicle. The assistant found the correct part based on the specific codes and series my car needed, then sent me a new quote by email. I simply clicked the link and was taken straight to the correct item in my cart — very convenient!
The only downside was that the new part’s delivery date ended up being three days later than originally expected. I selected expedited shipping to speed things up, but it still pushed delivery past the original timeline.
To ensure the billing and shipping addresses matched this time, I added my card to my sister’s PayPal account — problem solved.
Overall, despite the hiccup, I had a mostly positive experience with PartsGeek. Their customer service was helpful and knowledgeable, and the process for correcting the order was smooth.
