Received several pieces that are imperfect and mikasa is not welcoming to replace them. Really Mikasa? Should I not expect dishes without trash in the glaze, cracks, and places with no glaze at all? That is the Mikasa standard?

Mikasa is a great brand with multiple style options to choose from, but in my most recent purchase I was trying to add to my current older stoneware set, but the swirl white is no longer being produced in stoneware. Therefore I decided to go with the China version still somewhat available. It can be blended with the old stoneware and is of course of the same great quality but obviously limited in choices, options as well.

It’s very difficult to find these classic pewter engravable jewelry/treasure boxes anymore. I like to give them as graduation gifts- it’s something you’d probably never buy fir yourself but will keep forever. I have had the Italian Countryside dinnerware for 15-20 years. I find that the newer pieces do not have as fine a detail as the older ones. This is disappointing to me. Of course I’m glad the pattern is still available but wish it were as beautiful as the older pieces.

I always loved Mikasa products. Quality is outstanding. Beautiful design. However, the most important is the weight of the product. My Mikasa plates and bowls are so light and so durable at the same time. My white plates are still snow white even after some period of use. Will definitely buy Mikasa products again

I would highly recommend Mikasa. My husband and I purchased our first set of Italian Countryside dishes from Mikasa in 1988. Our most recent order replaced some of our original set. The dishes have been microwaved, washed in the dishwasher, and endured daily living for 35+ years.
