This item is spring loaded. The accompanying video the man does not demonstrate the spring loaded action of the latch. He only shows the item and the hardware which is clearly visible in the description. I needed to know if the latch stretches out and springs back. The video did not show this action on this item. However, I purchase the items with the hope and belief that this item is spring loaded and will pull down into place when used. Just some helpful advice here....Thank you!

The Etrailer product selection and ordering process are very good. Customer reviews will actual photos are with each item and are helpful. The receiver hitch I purchased seems very strong and made from quality materials. My only issue is that one of the side brackets for mounting to my car seemed to be warped inward about 1/2 inches. This was likely from the welding process. I was able bend the bracket outward to allow installation. This was a reported issue on one of the reviews I read. Other than the warped bracket ther me were no other issues. I installed the hitch by myself on my garage floor. This is a very nice hitch and functions well.

I wanted to repack the bearings on our travel trailer. Looked on etrailer found the bearing seals for our trailer and ordered. Very easy. Shipped right away and was on time.

On July 18 I called customer service about ordering a tow bar baseplate. I spoke with Kevin H about what I needed for my Jeep Gladiator. We were unable to complete the order due to a computer problem on his end. I was informed that the parts were in stock and would be delivered to me on Wednesday the 22nd. He emailed me the ordering information so I could complete the purchase on my end which I did shortly after he emailed the order form. At that time the ordering page again informed me that the products would get to me on the 22nd. Getting the parts quickly were very important because we needed to get my new jeep setup to be flat towed for a planned trip. I ordered 3 different items and 2 of them showed up on the 24th and the base plate finally showed up on the 27th. If I had known that the items were not going to be delivered on the date shown I could have and probably would have ordered from another company if they were able to get them to me in a timely manner. This was the 2nd order in a row from e-trailer that did not show up on the date that was shown to be delivered. In both cases the parts were turned over to UPS soon enough to get to me on the advertised delivery date. As far as the base plate goes according to Taelor D the baseplate was shown out of stock when being picked for shipment. It was shown as in stock when I ordered it. Instead of being sent from MO it was sent from Oregon. At no time was I informed before hand that the item was going to be delayed in shipment. I had to ask the question about why my order was being delayed. It seems to me that if the problem with my order was a problem on e-trailers end maybe the shipping could have been changed to an expedited form of shipping. This delay has really put me in a time crunch to get it installed. Due to the lack of communication and no sense of urgency to get me the parts by the date shown has made me rethink about who I will order from in the future. What I will tell anybody that asks is the date shown for delivery when ordering doesn’t mean anything. Greg Colwell

Website is great. Etrailer seems to have everything I’ve needed for all of my repair projects. I’ve searched all the parts houses in town and they couldn’t find the tail lights that fit my trailer. Etrailer has them and they arrived at my door in 2-3 days. You can easily navigate the website, it saves your cart and checkout is super easy.
