I have had a great experience I bought a rocky juniper that’s great and natural and native to my home state of Colorado it made me care about and learn how to take care of something small it came healthier than my growing pain stage of getting sunlight and watering right but I’ve learned it’s healthy and doing amazing and it taught me a lot including pruning and gave me a great well sturdy beautiful “starter” bonsai that already looked amazing and will grow to be a strong healthy big bonsai and hopefully outlast me also give me something therapeutic to do and allows me to focus on something living and get in touch with nature in a grounded helpful practical way as I’m moving into horticultural in general and having my first bonsai tree taught me a lot about plants and made me realize how cool they are and also I think even though a lot of my generation doesn’t do bonsai or garden they should it is fun and gives you something to care about and learn about the world and nature anyways have had an amazing experience and I’m glad the starter bonsai are already well sturdy and a couple to few years old and look beautiful for 40$ for a guy who doesn’t make much and is stressed and what not and wanted something cheap but meaningful and educational about horticulture in general to get in to thanks eastern leaf!

I recently bought a bonsai tree at a store and needed a pot so I came to this website and found a pot and the suggestions to add the tray, fertilizer, soil, drainage sheets, and soil stick were very helpful and I did add all of those to my purchase.

This is my first time ordering from Eastern Leaf, but I've looked at many other sites before deciding to go with Eastern Leaf. I specifically wanted a bonsai tree, and their website is so clear and explanatory regarding each of their bonsai trees that it made it pretty easy for me to decide which one I wanted to order. I'm very excited to receive my Grand Chinese Elm Bonsai.

I asked if you could send me a tree similar to the one pictured, an upright formal style tree. I didn't get a response that you could not send one of that style. The tree I received was very different, and I have purchased much nicer Chinese elms at half the price. I have bought a few trees from you before, but I think I will look elsewhere in the future.

The different plants were displayed clearly and the differences between the plant only vs the beginner sets was clearly marked. It would be helpful to know the pros/cons of each plant which as their level of difficulty of care. If it was described I did not notice it.

Honestly can't say anything but good things about the site they always have a great variety and it easy to navigate to find anything I'm looking for (even if I'm not sure what I'm looking for) I'm always able to find just what I need and place my order as well as easily grab a few nice add-ons on the way. It's so nice that I can place a pot in my cart and it automatically suggests the drainage screens a potting stick and the correct amount of soil for me to just add to my cart on the spot. Without needing to go gather them myself.
