Well I started buying from zZounds about 5 years ago. They had a wonder payment plan for folks to be able to get the gear they needed or wanted. I have Zero Credit. I haven't made a large credit purchase in decades now so I have a Zero Credit score since they wipe your score after 7 years of inactivity. I've been using zZounds payment system for 5 years. Just recently they changed something because they are now running credit checks on any payment over 6 months. I am 67 yrs old and live off a very modest SS income. I can no longer get the gear I had planned on because I cannot afford the payments for the dollar amount spread over just 6 months. Sad that and very disappointing. I was able to purchase up to $1500 and spread it over a year which worked well for me. Before coming to zZounds I was buying my stuff from Sweetwater. I had known Chuck since back in the 1980's. Then he sold and then the greed started. They killed of the friendly payment system and basically to up the "F.U. Pay me" attitude. I discovered zZounds after that and it was a ray of joy when I found their play and pay payment system. Sad that it's just about gone for me now. I can't help but wonder if it was just too many deadbeats that tried to screw them over that made them change it. Over 5 years at roughly $1500 a year and I never missed a payment, never had a late payment. And this is how I have to pay for it. Can't blame zZounds if they have to protect themselves. Just hope it's not out of greed. That'd be even sadder. Well anyway Thank You zZounds for the wonderful years we had together. You were always there when I needed/wanted something.
