HonestlyBummed
Post-Delivery FeedbackOct 25, 2026
This purchase was a big deal to me. I hadn't been able to get any new gear in a VERY long time. I had to wait until the situation was workable before I could order. When the time came, I was giddy as a kid on Christmas morning. I kept hesitating to click the buy now button because I couldn't believe I was finally getting to order it and wanted to be absolutely positive it was the right thing for me to do. I finally clicked it & went to bed. I hardly slept because, even though I hadn't checked the delivery estimate, I just NEW it was going to be here in 2-3 days, and was so excited, I was gonna bust! The first thing I did when I got up the next day was check that delivery estimate. THAT was when I found out it was on back order. I was SUPER bummed. It is my opinion that they should make that information MUCH more obvious on the website. At least as obvious as the big red banner they use to let you know when they're almost out of an item. Furthermore, the rep was cold and indifferent, and every e-mail I sent them with various questions I had during the waiting period, took them minimum of 2 days to respond to, and was met with that same indifference. They didn't impress me as people who liked their jobs at all. Fortunately, the item DID show up a couple weeks ahead of the estimated delivery date. UNfortunately, the setup is horrible. The worst I've seen from a new Epiphone since the early '90s. It's not really usable as it is. I have new strings on the way, and will set it up when I get them. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the instrument. It was just hastily thrown in the box & shipped without proper care being taken (THAT is on Epi, not ZZounds). I'm glad I held out and got exactly the one I wanted. It's beautiful, I love it, and I got it at a good price, despite the crappy set up and lackluster transaction. If the instrument had've arrived broken, this would've qualified among the worst online gear transactions I've ever had.
