I spent over $70 on just this first order (I have one or 2 more still in delivery). Less than a week later, the items I picked go on super sale and I ask if I can have the lower amount without having to do a return/reorder. I was told that can’t be done because it isn’t fair to other customers… I don’t even know what that’s supposed to mean, other than being an excuse, because I’m a customer and it wasn’t fair to me. I finally get my order and the candles are much smaller than expected (they were inexpensive, so that was okay), one barely has any scent and smells like I got it at the dollar store (just threw it away), and the wall plug in that I thought was ceramic, is just cheap plastic (throwing that away too, since I’m not doing any more business with you to get the refills for it). To top it off, part of my order wasn’t fulfilled correctly and when I did a claim, I never heard anything back. My initial impression this year, when I first got my birthday candle in store, was positive. I was excited to get a bunch more candles for the holidays to share with my family, but this has just been awful. The sales are all over the place, the scents are inconsistent between the different styles of candle, the products (besides large candles) feel cheap, customer service is polite, but useless, and fulfillment can’t get the order right. I’m never ordering online again, and since I don’t live within 25 miles of a YC, that means I’m not really a customer anymore. I’d rather shop local anyway, at least the absurd amount of money I spend on candles will feel like it went towards something.
