Site Experience FeedbackOct 4, 2025
I've got a few remarks on the observations and experience I had on your website.
(1) There was an ever-present and annoying warning message at checkout stating how I must use a credit card or PayPal to sign up for the product subscription service.
My payment method was clearly a Visa card yet this message never went away.
This was confusing. Are my credit cards not properly registered? Will I be denied the purchase? After all, that message is still there?
The developers of the website need to fix this issue and not even show the warning at all if all saved payment methods are credit cards.
And if at the beginning, perhaps before a payment method is chosen, when the warning message indeed applies, it should be imperative that it be removed once the credit/debit card or PayPal is selected.
Don't confuse or fluster the customer and this seemingly permanent warning message did just that.
(2) I found it much more difficult and tedious to either delete or edit a credit card. Then, after I was finally able to make the changes in the profile section of my account, none of the information I had just registered in the profile section was shown as updated in the cart. In fact, the same card I had just deleted was still being shown as my default payment method.
It was also continuing to show the card as expired and that this needed attention.
How confusing! First, I wasn't allowed to delete the card in the payment section of the cart. This would have been a convenient and efficient option. But also, having the information not show as updated makes the customer question the website's ability to securely and properly utilize sensitive financial resources.
So, have the developers make the editing and deleting process easier and more intuitive and make sure they fix the bug that caused the newly updated information to not show up in the cart just moments after it had been changed.
(3) I will compliment the site developers on most everything else. The pages are clear and legible, the photos of the products are crisp and overall, the layout, design and execution of the site were commendable.
(4) I hope these comments will be helpful for you in your quest to improve the online shopping experience of your customers.
I hadn't shopped at The Vitamin Shoppe in years but was drawn in by a very competitive price with possibility of a further discount on David protein bars which are generally quite expensive. So clicking on the Vitamin Shoppe link on the Google search results was an easy decision with the ability to save some money.
Then, I was pleasantly surprised that your free shipping minimum was only $35. One hardly ever sees that on nutrition websites that are trying to compete with Amazon and Walmart.
Now that I've been re-familiarized with the shopping options and savings opportunities at the Vitamin Shoppe, I plan to return often and routinely check out the website instead of always going straight to amazon.com.
Good luck as you strive to continually improve your brand and shopping experience.
