Site Experience FeedbackDec 29, 2025
Hello,
I am writing to formally report a misleading checkout experience that occurred during a recent purchase made through the Victoria’s Secret app.
Order details:
• Order Number: W157752513
• Order Date: December 28, 2025
• Order Total: $228.82
• Order Type: Internet Order
During checkout, I was presented with what was described as a cost-free shipment protection benefit due to the value of my purchase. Based on how it was framed within the Victoria’s Secret checkout flow, it appeared to be a complimentary, one-time protection for this specific order, not a paid or recurring service.
After completing the form and selecting Apple Pay, the payment confirmation screen showed a $0 charge, which is why I approved the transaction. At no point during the checkout process was it clearly disclosed that I was enrolling in a $29 recurring subscription with a third-party provider (ShipmentProtect).
Immediately after completing my purchase, I was charged $29 by ShipmentProtect and later discovered that I had been enrolled in a subscription I did not knowingly or intentionally authorize. I canceled the membership as soon as I became aware of the charge.
I find this experience misleading and concerning, particularly because the third-party service was presented as part of the Victoria’s Secret checkout experience and appeared to be endorsed or integrated into the order process. The lack of clear, transparent disclosure at the point of payment does not align with fair or customer-friendly practices.
I am requesting that this complaint be formally documented and escalated internally for review. I believe this checkout presentation creates confusion and undermines customer trust in the Victoria’s Secret brand.
Please confirm receipt of this complaint and advise what steps are being taken to address this issue.
Thank you for your attention.
Kind regards,
