I wanted to purchase a new pair of skis. I have loved my Volkyl Mantra M5’s, also purchased from Al’s, which I skied on for 4 seasons, averaging 15 days a year. Midway through the third season the top edge behind the heel on both skis started to delaminate. I epoxied them back together, and rode them another 20+ days into their fourth season. I liked them so much I wanted to get the more recent M7 model, but I wanted to be reassured that the delamination issue had been resolved. Al’s responded right away and reported that Volkyl had redesigned the top edge and this problem was no longer occurring. They also said that if I had any problems in the first two years to let them know so they could offer a replacement. I ordered immediately, and they were delivered, carefully packed, with mounted bindings in exactly a week. I live in California! I still think their service, product availability and overall business is fantastic! I have recommended them to several friends, who have also purchased skis from Al’s. Great business, and they will remain my GO TO for all my skis in the future! Thank you!

Had questions about binding size, a PERSON actually answers the phone, genuinely interested in my concern and is extremely helpful. UPS puts a scratch in my base and Al's promptly takes care of me covering the cost of a base tune.

The website works very well. Excellent variety and well-written reviews. It’s easy to order from Al’s and the effort to ensure all of a skier’s needs are met is fantastic. These include binding mounts, purchase options for skis and poles, all of which are clearly explained. My ONLY suggestion is to possibly make it easier to return to a particular order to change a binding choice or ski length. I caught that I had accidentally chosen the wrong length of skis, and I had to “empty” my cart to return to the ski and correct the length. I had to start all over. Not a big deal, but I’m thinking a link back to each item purchased to make a correction like this could be beneficial.

We LOVE Al's Ski Barn! We bought skis, boots and poles last year for our 17 y.o. son and were sooo happy with how easy it was to work with Adam! He gave so many great suggestions based on the type of skier our son is, and then, once we decided on which package to purchase, it was easy peasy from there! I just bought a pair of boots for me, but once I know they fit, I'll be back on this website buying skis and poles for both my daughter and I! This is our new favorite place to purchase skis from!
