Honestly, my most recent trip to Spirit Halloween was actually pretty fun, but it had a couple of downsides too. I went in just to browse, but you know how it is—once you walk in, it’s hard not to get into the Halloween mood. The store had a ton of decorations set up, and a lot of the animatronics were working, which made it feel really immersive. I liked how organized everything was by theme—like scary clowns in one section, classic monsters in another—so it was easy to find what I was looking for.
The costume selection was huge, and I saw some pretty creative outfits I hadn’t seen in other places. Prices were a bit all over the place, though. Some accessories were cheap, but a few costumes felt a little overpriced for the quality. Also, a few items looked kind of picked over or not in the best condition, which I guess is expected since the stores are temporary and get a lot of traffic.
The staff was nice and helpful when I couldn’t find a certain mask—they actually went to the back to check for me, which I appreciated. Checkout was quick too, even though the store was busy.
Overall, I’d recommend Spirit Halloween if you want a wide variety of costumes and decorations all in one place and don’t mind paying a bit extra for convenience. It’s definitely more about the experience and vibe than getting the absolute best deal
