Pound Foolish?

I ordered a BCD package from Scuba.com. Everything came as expected and on time. Although I have not been able to use the items yet, they seem to be in excellent condition. My only issues- minor at that- were that the bag the BCD came in was ripped apart- no damage to the BCD- and, from what I can tell, there was supposed to be an octoclip that came with the BCD and didn't. This clip is on every one of the videos that I looked at in reviewing the BCD before I purchased it. Customer service asked for pictures of this- which I provided and sent the video links. They then said they were talking to some department. It seems like this is taking a long time for Scuba.com to resolve this. Frankly, I would have just sent me the clip OR explained why the BCD doesn't come with the clip- though it is clearly in the various videos I was watching- same clip in each one. It's really not a big deal for me and shouldn't be a big deal for Scuba.com. I'm clearly not trying to get something that I don't have evidence for. That aside, Scuba.com may be "penny wise and pound foolish". If it really doesn't come with the BCD then just tell me and show me evidence or just send it. To keep $25 they may be losing out on hundreds.
