Happy overall-just disappointed with exchange policy online. You are charging me $12 to put item back on shelf when all I wanted is to change size of same item. That is a scam. I live over 3hrs away from your nearest store for me to shop at. I love your products & wish that shopping online worked better for me.

Tried to order from the Roots site via my phone, and it would not accept my correct street address, instead auto populating to the name of my building (Malibu), would not let me correct, had to call Roots and cancel my order. That being said, the phone customer service agent was excellent, and very helpful, although she was not able to correct my address as per company policy, so the only option was to cancel the order. I tried again via my phone, still would not let me add my correct address. Was finally able to order correctly by switching to my lap top, creating a roots account, and adding my address there. Ordering online should not be so difficult, a lot of people would have given up and not made the purchase.

Your online availability is not up to date. Online showed that the item(s) I wanted were not in stock at any of the Calgary locations. In fact they were available in all sizes and colours at the first Roots store location I went to.

The site was easy to navigate and I found the items I was looking for. I love Roots style and quality of the clothes. I had issues with check out though as my address was not recognized in the suggestions provided. If I had selected the address provided I would not get my order as its a large complex. I was forced to use Shop pay as it was the only way my address would be accepted as the shipping address. I tried numerous times perhaps this needs to be addressed.

Well I am disappointed that in stores and online things are sold out so quickly. The Bowen cable knit sweater there is not another one out there like it. I looked at Aritzia, Simon’s Lululemon This cardigan is well made exactly the right weight not too heavy, soft and comfortable. I needed an xl or xxl and didn’t have it. Also the browni boxy t shirt was super low on sizes. It’s just the beginning of the fall season and everything is out of stock. You had a gorgeous pair of wide leg and not too wide leg pants with pockets two seasons ago with no logo and they were not sweat pants and I don’t see them any more. I only will shop Canadian as I’m against American politics right now. Roots is fantastic quality we just need more of it!!!!

I was to be sent an email to reset password never came. Reapplied didn’t come. Chat was not operational (Saturday am) outside hours (message). No, it wasn’t in junk or trash. Frustrating. Tried again Sunday as guest and unable to check out, msg, different articles in cart? It said that. Dumped cart reordered with an actual different item, no problem. The point is there was no rhyme or reason to the difficulty I encountered. Made absolutely no sense so it was frustrating.

I chose a size 5 in a shirt because the sizing guide said it was a men’s large/ women’s extra large. This shirt is much larger, I would say it is a men’s extra large verging on a double XL

Greatly appreciate the size inclusive clothing. As a plus size woman, it’s hard to find well made apparel that doesn’t fall apart after a couple uses. All of my roots clothing has never torn or ripped. The price you pay is for quality. And Roots has never let me down.

Address issues in cart checkout

The checkout experience did not work for my shipping address and so I was forced to ship to store. Very frustrating. The Shopify app also wouldn’t work. Roots is the only store I have encountered this with where the cart wouldn’t let me correct the address. Instead it kept autocorrecting it to an incorrect address (which wasn’t even close to my actual address). I think your system is loaded to Canada Post addresses only, and there are many addresses which are not loaded into the Canada post system due to how Canada Post is structured where mail is delivered through individual community mailboxes. So your cart needs to have a parameter removed to allow the customer to override the auto correct for the address.

Roots' continued support for the genocide and warcrimes against palistinians is the reason for the return. i have returned the item and will not be purchasing anything from roots again. I've let colleagues and friends know as well. return process was easy and several store staff were supportive of me returning the item once they learned of the reason. no i will not name names.
