I placed order online, and was not made aware that I would have to pay shipping charges of $59.34 US (on a 90.93 US order) until I received the order acknowledgement. In fact, I increased my order because of a pop-up I received to increase my order by $20.01 for free shipping. I sent a note after I saw this acknowledgement asking to cancel order, but was advised this wasn't possible. I sent this only a few hours after acknowledgement. The second person who wrote back (after I complained about this) advised I had asked to expedited shipping and they would try and stop order if it wasn't to late or I could refuse upon delivery. Delivery just left the package without ringing the bell, and in fact my orders were shipped separately a week apart - which is interesting. The 3rd and final communication from a 3rd representative advised that all Canadian customers had to pay this amount for shipping. In studying the advertisement pages, I see this in very small print that no free shipping outside of United States. Nothing about having to pay ridiculous expedited shipping fees. I would like to add that I think Mikasa products are high quality, but this experience really left me jaded.
