Honestly, my experience with Miccostumes was a mixed bag — mostly frustrating, to be honest. I ordered a cosplay costume for my daughter, and she really loved it, but it was just a bit too small. I contacted their support before returning it, and they told me I could exchange it as long as the costume wasn’t broken. That seemed fair, so I mailed it back right away.
Then things went downhill. After they received the package, they suddenly said the costume was “broken.” But it wasn’t — the costume itself was perfectly fine; it had only been tried on once. What they meant by “broken” was that I didn’t include a cardboard insert that came in the packaging. I couldn’t believe it. They tried to deny the exchange over missing cardboard, which made no sense at all.
After several emails back and forth, they eventually agreed to return my original costume — but it took over a week of arguing, waiting, and follow-ups to make that happen. To be fair, they did end up sending the costume back, but the process was way more stressful than it needed to be.
If a friend asked me, I’d say be cautious ordering from Miccostumes. Their products look nice and my daughter really did like the design, but the customer service and return policy are overly strict and confusing. If you do buy from them, make sure you keep every single piece of packaging, even the cardboard, just to avoid problems. Personally, I wouldn’t recommend them unless you’re 100% sure about the size and don’t think you’ll need to return anything.
