I like that there are several foundation color options to choose from online. I like to try on option as well. The only thing I don’t like is when you’re trying on the shades; the word ‘undertone’ info bubble is encircled in black which doesn’t allow you to envision the shade directly beneath the word ‘undertone’ , it’s an unnecessary distraction, especially when you try to envision how that shade looks. Also the shade options should appear next to your face not below your photo. Perhaps you could tap on each color individually and it appears directly next to or slightly overlapping the side of your face to better guage the correct color match- That would be better UX Design for the customer!
Also I wish they wouldn’t outline the shade boxes black because again when you’re trying to envision the shade against your skin, it makes it harder to envision how the color looks on you because the black distracting outline. I hope that makes sense. Also, the website is a little slow/glitchy when using these features however not a deterrent.
Also, I wish instead of it asking me what my undertones are- I wish the camera feature would simply gauge with your undertones are based off of the photo it takes of you which makes more sense to create 2 options where either you decide your undertones or the let the ai tool figure it out and suggest your undertones/foundation match. By asking you what your undertones are it’s not really helpful because your idea of undertones might not match with what the photo actually picks up, asking you seems a tad counter productive unless the customer is 100% sure. Overall Ive been a loyal mac customer, prior to making an account. Even while unemployed I purchase products because I trust the brand and inclusive branding and affordability.
