Devon Magee is my wine purveyor and he is excellent. This complaint is not dealing with him, but rather an order i actually placed online and not through Devon. My two bottles of expensive burgundy which were supposed to be sent the next day were sent to TRACYand didnt arrive for three days. I was told that tracy is a fedex hub and to make sure this doesnt happen again i need to specify UPS when signing up for delivery. This is completey absurd and if this is really the situation, then a WARNING needs to be posted next to this option that says your expensive order may be routed through TRACY when all it needed to do was come across the bay bridge to downtown SF from emeryville!!When I called the general line and asked about the order I was told basically "thats not our problem....you need to talk to Devon...He had nothing to do with this order. Been using them for years now and this is the only hiccup but it was a big one. Wine arrived late, and was traveling around the state in the heat. Havnt had it yet but if its cooked this is not over.
