This was my first BNF airplane that I have ever ordered from Horizon as I fly a Radiomaster TX16S Mk2. All of my RC aircraft are from a competing brand. However, when a fellow flier at my club showed me his Sportix and I dug a little deeper into the details I was instantly drawn to the quick detach wings and ease of assembly. When I checked on Horizon’s website the BNF Sportix happened to be on sale and I could not resist. When the model arrived I had it assembled and bound to my radio in roughly 1 hour. Using Edge TX DSM tools suite allowed all of the preloaded settings to be automatically installed, the only difference was that my rudder and ailerons were reversed which was an easy fix by reversing each in the outputs screen of my radio. The only anomaly that I ran into was that the manual calls out for a 1.5 mm hex driver for the prop spinner screw and it is actually a 2 mm. Overall I am very pleased with the entire Horizon/Eflite experience and recommend this product.

The payment section was flawed on my phone. The credit card portion wanted an image of my card, which I provided. It then kept entering the card number into the coupon section. Once I moved to my laptop, the credit card portion wanted the CCV number, after which it processed the payment fine. Very frustrating.

I am very disappointed and reluctant to purchase from Horizon Hobby anymore because of my most recent customer service experience. I ask for a return phone call about two products that were backordered and I could not get the guy from my emails to call me. He kept insisting he could answer my questions from email. I'm very old school and like to talk to a person on the phone and I simply could not get that. I had a damaged delivery/part and got that replaced through the chat now function very quickly and efficient but some times you need to hear a voice! My recent order arrived and one of my lipo batteries was flat and would not charge, so I have sent an email one this. All in all I just don't know about purchasing from Horizon Hobby anymore.
