I put in my car's details to purchase a door tweeter speaker. The online site said that a particular connector would be required. They were included at no charge, but did not fit. Ultimately, I had to splice the old wiring harness and do a mod to remove the old speaker from its factory holder to put in the new speaker. It took some work, but the speaker worked and was hot glued into the old holder. Crutchfield was wrong about the wiring harness, but was really good that is was included in the purchase and had what turned out to be the closest match possible to what i needed. My only real complaint is that you can't easily replace factor speakers. Upon further research, its not possible to buy exact replacement speakers for this car. THere is going to be splicing and hot glue (or something similar) no matter what. That is not on Crutchfield, but the car industry as a whole, I guess. Nothing is modular like it should be.

I'd been using Google to find an AVR that would support wireless speakers with no luck as audio terminology is often ambiguous, i.e. a search for "wireless speakers" brings up result almost exclusively related to stand-alone bluetooth speakers. Seth knew instantly which two product lines Crutchfield offered that supported them.

Specifically, today I was looking for forward facing park assist cameras. All of the cameras were listed as "backup camera", which is contradictory to my search. Once I was able to file through the reviews and description, it was plain to see that the cameras doubled as forward facing cameras. Accordingly, that was a filter that I applied, beginning the search. All told, I think I looked at every single camera (without license plate frame), before making my decision. Reviews of the product were very few, but combined with the description, I'm mostly confident the product will work for my project. I did not request a chat or ask for help because the chat bot is a little bit inconvenient, considering I've made quite a few chats recently, I decided to just cut to the chase and pull the trigger on the product. The specialists are very good at answering questions, but next time I might just call the hotline. One feature that would be very helpful is to be able to sort reviews, questions or answers based on the users question or application. Another product I was considering had over 300 reviews. I wanted to see reviews specifically for my make or model, so I had to go through every single review to verify the application, which was very cumbersome.

Shopping this specific product line for use in a multi room set up for my home. I went to Amazon first, and found it to be confusing and presenting a lot of information. I did not ask for. Closest competitor to Crutchfield appeared to be audio advice, which has a retail location in the town where I live. When I visited the store, the people were not familiar with the product and I did not feel I would get the kind of support I may need from Crutchfield. Finally, the Crutchfield price matched the pricing I was able to find on Amazon prime. Done deal!
