Tier and redemption glitch

I just had a long chat session about the tier and points system and how it's glitching for my account. Chat staff were not helpful. they simply said I could only redeem 350 points today and would have to purchase another 50$ plus item again to be able to redeem all 500 of my points. my tier has not elevated to 'genius' yet though it exceeds 500 points. its confusing when the points disappear yet the tier remains the same but they said I'd lose my tier at my anniversary date. very conflicting information. ajassel was not willing to pursue further information about why the system wasn't responding to my elevated status and gave inaccurate information. please note I have nothing against them, but perhaps better training? lastly I feel that because the information as presented was confusing, I spent $79 and did not redeem points because I thought elevating to a higher level tier would unlock better rewards. it did not. today I wish to spend $117 to receive the benefits, and redeem points but cannot redeem over 350. Why can't an exception be made to allow me to redeem all 500 points on today's transaction?
