So my mom isn’t able to call in her Clinique orders at Dillard’s anymore, so I told her I’d just go online and help her get what she needs. She’s elderly and has been a loyal Clinique customer for at least 40 years.
Whenever she used to order through Dillard’s, she’d always get a bunch of free gifts and samples. But the first time I placed an order for her online through Clinique, she didn’t get anything at all.
Then the next day, she remembered a few more things she needed, so I got ready to place the 2nd order and saw if she placed 1 large order she would get samples and gifts.
I actually called Clinique customer service before placing that second order, and the woman I spoke with basically said there was nothing she could do. I even asked about canceling the first order so I could combine everything, and she said that wasn’t possible either.
It just feels frustrating. You’d think their system would recognize her account and purchases and automatically include the samples or gifts, especially for someone who’s been such a longtime customer. Honestly, I’m just really disappointed in how Clinique handled it.
