This is the third year that I have ordered merchandise from Boscov’s and the second year I have been disappointed with the quality of last year’s merchandise ( clothes ) and this year’s shipping and quality.
Last year I ordered jeans for my husband and the sizes were inconsistent because of that merchandise needed to be returned ( adding the mileage/ gas and time required to return the merchandise negates any savings I had ordering through the website.
This year I attempted to order again and 2 items are missing from my order. Even the delivery photo ( of 1 box on my doorstep) shows the merchandise is missing ( I ordered clothes, three xl boxes of chocolate, 3 tablecloths, a vacuum cleaner and a 5 piece comforter set) order # 66826884 but when I contacted customer service I was told the issue needed to be investigated before anything was done about the situation. That was a couple of days before Thanksgiving, I had family coming to stay so I needed the comforter set and vacuum it wasn’t something I could wait on. I was told a normal investigation takes 3-5 business days but with the holidays it will be 8-10 business days which the customer service representative told me I would be getting an email response by December 8th, 2025. An e-mail response, my god what kind of resolution is that? I can’t believe that business practices have degraded to an email response and not an actual conversation with customer service and a resolution within a few days. If there is a bigger internal issue I feel myself as a paying customer should have been prioritized over an internal problem. Also the box of Boscov’s assorted chocolate had a white coating on several of the chocolate’s but they were removed by my aunt before she put them out for guests. So what I would tell a friend about my experience with Boscov’s is the delivery is slow, there is an extra charge on bigger items even though you don’t receive them, the sizes are inconsistent and the quality is below standards, and if you have an issue with your order be prepared to wait before it gets resolved.
