I viewed items online first prior to coming into the store to do school clothes shopping with my 7 year old. I was a little put off by the associate in the girls department. I couldn’t find a specific winter jacket that was on sale for a great price (boscovs website said it was available in store at that location). I asked the associate for help, she basically said they have some much inventory in the back and they don’t have enough room on the sales floor. She said there was nothing she could do, and if I wanted the item I needed to order it online. I did let her know that it’s rather frustrating that the website shows items that say are available but then when the customer comes to the store, you tell them buy online. I didn’t want to pay for shipping so I opted for in store pickup. I had already left the store by the time my order was ready for pickup so I had to come back another day. There were multiple items I wanted to get but when they weren’t out on the sales floor for my daughter to try on i changed my mind and thought forget it. The online ordering and pick up was great-easy and smooth. Would have been nice to know all this ahead of time. I would have ordered the jacket online prior to coming to the store to shop and try on the clothes so that I could have picked it up at the same time. Would have saved me time and a decent amount of gas. I also would have bought 7-10 more clothing items if they had been out on the sales floor so my child could have tried them on. The entire reason we came in store to do shopping and that I didn’t just order everything online was so that my kid could try the clothes on. Clothes sizing isn’t universal, some brands run big, others small, etc. Advertising products on sale for a limited time without actually having them on the sales floor isn’t right
