This is a complaint about the checkout process that misled me to submit an order, but it was not actually submitted. I paid via Apple Pay and I got the double click request on my phone to confirm the charge, at this point I thought I had completed the order. Today I looked to track my order as it was unusual that I did not get my auto refill at my home three weeks after I ordered it. I looked at my account and there still was one incomplete order sitting on my account. I tried submitting again, again paid with Apple Pay, got the Apple request for confirmation, and then went to look to see if the order had been submitted. It was not. THE DESIGN PROBLEM is that you confirm the credit card payment before telling the user that the process is not finished or highlighting the check box above the submit button. This is the first time I noticed that check box. I checked the box, pressed the submit button and up came a confirmation screen. I am not a novice at online ordering and have been a customer for many years using the auto renew process. FYI: I placed this order using an apple Mac, but the browser was not at full screen if that helps. And I did not see any message to inform me that the order had not been submitted, even though you apparently had submitted a charge for the product. I would guess you use a two step process in that that somebody wanted to be sure it was a valid credit account before continuing. However, they may not know that Apple asked for me to confirm on my iPhone that your request to charge was valid. Normally, when I get that request, it is after the payment has been configured and so the iPhone request is the indication that the order was paid for. I thought the order was placed. So, my two cents, you should check that the check box that you insist has to be there before the order is completed, should notify that it is not checked before the credit card check is initiated Or notify the user on the screen in big letters that they order is not yet submitted and there is more to do. Thank you for your consideration.
