I wanted an everyday stroller for my special needs son and the EIO stroller was the perfect fit. His other adaptive stroller is bulky and not practical for everyday activities. The EIO stroller looks like a regular stroller but gives him the postural support needed. We also got him the Special Tomato sitter with wedge and it was a game changer for him. He is more involved in family activities and he loves that. Without the wedge base, the sitter is light enough to carry to restaurants and family functions. The fact that it fits in the EIO stroller is an added bonus! We are beyond thrilled with our purchases!

Overall, it is a good site. My only issue is price. You will charge this price to an individual, but you will greatly discount the price to an insurance company. If you can sell it to an insurance company at a discounted price, then you should be able to sell it to an individual at that lower price.

The site was excellent until I got to setting up an account. I wanted to create separate billing and shipping addresses. I do not need products from this site. This order and any future order is going to a friend who needs them. The default address goes to both billing and shipping. I was not clear how to change the shipping address. I finally figured it out, but showing the default address with 'Ship Here' under it was confusing. I assumed that it would ship to the address under the 'Ship Here', and it appears my assumption was correct, but it was more luck than confidence.

I was sent an email saying my order was cancelled. It was strange, but ok. I replied to the email and the service representative never emailed me back. That is not good customer service. I wish they would promptly reply to my email rather than being ignored.

I called Adaptive Mall first before purchasing and spoke with Mary, who was wonderful and so very kind and helpful over the phone. She helped me figure out how I needed to add what we were purchasing to my shopping cart. Then I checked out. Everything was smooth and issue-free. We have ordered from Adaptive Mall previously, but a long time ago when our child was younger. So happy that this Special Tomato seat will work at our child's current age/size.

I recently ordered a special tomato soft touch sitter (size 5) with the mobile base and the matching table for a family member that has difficulty sitting in normal chairs due to back issues. The chair has worked very well for them, and the table is great because we can adjust it to exactly the angle and height we need. I had an opportunity to buy a used chair for a less expensive price, but ended up getting one from adaptivemall.com directly because of the included 5 year warranty on the chair. The included free shipping also helped make this decision easier, as shipping such a large chair would be at least a few hundred dollars. My only real wish would be that adaptivemall/special tomato consider making a slightly larger size 6 chair. This type of seating is useful for adults with back issues due to the support it provides, but sizing for products like this basically ends for large teenagers.

I was very happy to find the chair and table on sale. I had initially been looking around at used size 5 sitters, but the few available were usually very far away and at least half the time in rather bad condition. Buying this new means that the person that will be using the chair gets a chair where we know everything will be working. The new chair including free shipping made going for a new one a no-brainer. I'm very thankful that adaptivemall sells this type of equipment for larger special needs folks. It was difficult to check out and enter my payment information. I kept getting a message that said "Please include an address with RegionID." There was not any place to enter a region ID, and the way that is formatted looks like a variable that the website sets in the background. I ended up entering in my address all over and that seems to have fixed the problem.
