Overpriced, weak customer service, bait and switch coupons

I was browsing out of curiosity but when offered a 45% off plus free gift I decided to go ahead and buy something since this coupon would make an item I was interested in very affordable. I got offered another coupon that said “additional $10 off if purchased in X minutes” so I rush and find an item and place my order. After I see the charge on my card being more than I expected I realized that the 45% off coupon code must have gotten removed after the “additional $10” off coupon went on. Frustrating but I call customer service thinking it should be an easy fix.. they tell me I need to wait until I receive the item and I verify this is fixable (because I’d rather cancel the order if not, but she assured me if will be fixed) once I receive the item I call back like I was told and am informed nothing can be done about this because the item was already sent out. So now im upset. I never even really needed to buy from this website and only texted it out for the sake of the coupon and then it all gets ruined by some extra pressure measly $10 coupon. I tell the guy how I was instructed to call back and he just seems to be rude and unhelpful. I tell him I’d rather just return it all and get my money back all together and ask how to go about a refund and he begins to tell me how I still got a good deal because now the item is priced at $140 and I got it for $80 and I was like that’s not the deal I signed up for because it was already on sale for $80 so no matter what to me I picked something out in the rate of $80 to get 45% off and I was agreeing to that price with that coupon in my cart and unfortunately didn’t catch that the second coupon knocked out the first and he proceeds to disagree with me basically saying I should keep it just because it was on sale either way… it wasn’t helpful at this point I just want to give it all back and regret checking out the website. Also found the exact same item on Amazon for $50. Usually online stores have better customer service arrangements than this and easily make adjustments or can process a refund for you. I also find it rather annoying we have to print and fill out a form online and MAIL it in and then just wait? Yeah super super annoying. It’s unfortunate customer service didn’t tell me this couldn’t be corrected and just let me cancel before it shipped and completely mislead me and someone is lying about an adjustment being possible, first rep says wait until I get it and call back second says once it’s shipped nothing can be done. Super frustrating.
