I love the Yankee candles. I received a birthday gift reward and redeemed for pick up in store. Usually when I place orders for pick up they are ready the same day, but because this was a birthday reward, it took three days for them to verify my account that I’ve had since the beginning of your family rewards fragrance lover program. How do I known it would have taken three days I would’ve placed the order days before. I went to the mall the same day I placed an order woman in store said she could not finish the pick up order even though I had my license verify my birthday date name address all the information that is on my account she said the rewards birthday gift had to be verified through corporate not like a regular order. while I appreciate the free candle for my birthday, it didn’t inform me that my account had to be verified and it would take several days or I would’ve had them ship the candle to me and not waste my time going to the store to pick it up it was very unclear when they offered the reward, which made it very inconvenient and almost not worth it, the fact that they could not override It at the store simply verifying ID, and that I could not reach anyone through customer service no phone number available. It was frustrating that it took three days so now that I received my text message that my order is ready for pick up I now have to find a way to get to the mall to pick it up when I could’ve had to just shipped to my house or picked it up when I was at the store. Very frustrating. I love Yankee candle so I would continue to shop in the store but I do not think the rewards program is living up to an actual reward. It’s more frustrating when it’s time to redeem the reward.
