Last time I received candles via website, I had to return 6 out of 9 of them to the store. I never received my birthday candle, which was free, but that I did order. I exchanged the candles because the scent quality was abysmal while they still burned beautifully. I was truly shocked and asked everyone in my family if it was just me, or did these not smell? No one smelled them. In the jars, the first time we smelled them, they smelled amazing! Especially the grapefruit pine!! Upon lighting most of them, they had no scent. I returned them to the store and even the employees were shocked at how little scent they had.
I have been a Yankee candle consumer for over 20 years. You have my favorite candles, despite my sister trying to push her bath and body works candles on me.
But I was so disappointed with my previous order. Hopefully, the ones I ordered today will be up to your usual standard. None the less, I have always appreciated your fantastic customer service. If I had ordered almost $200 worth of candles that did not smell and no one helped rectify the situation, I think you would have lost a customer for life. Your employees and your company’s dedication to customer service are why I will keep coming back, even with the occasional candle fail.
