I have constantly incurred one problem after another when ordering from Yankee Candle. With today's order, I tried to sign in and it said to enter a valid email address so I had to sign in as a guest, which means I lost reward points. My previous purchase said I had a free (or discounted) reward offer but it kept disappearing off the screen so I have no idea on what I lost out on that one. I am also ready to call it quits with Yankee due to the quality of products now. The scent of many of my candles, car jars, and ultimate car jars don't even smell. I have used two car jars and one ultimate car jar within one month because even fresh out of the pkg, I would get in my car and forgot they were even there because there was "0" scent, whatsoever. I had purchased many of the car air freshners so I am not a happy camper about that. Several of the large one and two wick candles I purchased also have "0" scent. They were even in my bedroom with the door shut when I was burning them...still no scent. I remember one of them was the French vanilla because I love a vanilla scent and was looking forward to it. There were a few of them like that. I will say that, so far, I have been happy with the Spiced Pumpkin scent. I have purchased that scent in large candles (one and two wick) for many years (when we had a Yankee Candle store nearby) and that scent is still wonderful (except for the car jars). As far as the diffuser scent refills go, they have been pretty good with the exception of a few that I had to put on medium right from the start when there was no scent coming from it on low after an hour and a half to two hours. Most were ok, though. I have been burning candles for 50 years and good candles are expensive so I know how to burn them so they last. I burned a 7oz sparkling cinnamon candle and it burned correctly, however, the 10oz studio candle (same scent) did the candle tunneling thing, which is a waste of wax (and money). The studio candle scent was not strong at all and tunneled. The 7oz smelled fine and burned how it should. When my last order of diffuser refills came, 4 of the 6 were leaking. They weren't cracked or anything. Apparantly, they just didn't screw the tops on tight enough but that's another waste. I went to take them out of the pkg to smell them and I ended up with oil on my hands. Overall, I have become very dissatisfied over the years with a company that once had a fabulous reputation. I have been hoping with each order that things would improve but sadly, Yankee Candle is going downhill fast and I certainly have not gotten what I've paid for. Lastly, I wish to God that somewhere on the order form or when checking out, you would have a spot for "delivery instructions." I live upstairs in a four-unit apartment bldg. and Fedex doesn't even bring the pkgs inside. They have been left outside, where anyone could steel them. My instructions for delivery with Walmart is to "Deliver pkgs UPSTAIRS to apt door (H4)." Why can't Yankee Candle do that on the check-out page? I am disabled and have a difficult time with the stairs. So, there ya have it and hope you can understand my disappointment with your company. Also, you should have customer service reps on the wknd because when there is a problem and the sale ends on a Sunday, by the time we can contact someone on Monday, the sale is over. One last issue. I'm sick and tired of Yankee constantly being out of stock on items. I have yet to place an order where everything was in stock. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
