The order was for an oil pan and gasket. And while this was to be shipped by the manufacturer directly to me, the order status on Overton's was (and continues to be) inaccurate. Several days after the order I checked the Order Status page and it said "Awaiting shipping". I called Overton's and was told the order had indeed been shipped. However, only the gasket arrived. After a few more days, I again called Overton's to inquire about the oil pan. The CS agent said both the pan and gasket were meant to be in the same shipment and they would have to inquire of the vendor what was going on. I decided to call the vendor myself as I had their contact info on the gasket shipment. They said the oil pan was obsolete and they had zero stock. I then called Overton's again to ask about this. The CS agent did some checking and confirmed the part is no longer available and I would be issued a refund. So, I wasted nearly two weeks waiting for the phantom oil pan (while boating season is slipping away) only to discover on my own that it was not coming. The lack of visibility on the shipment coupled with the SNAFU of not even having the product feels like internet shopping of 2005, not 2026. On the plus side, the CS agents were friendly and helpful. BTW, the order status page on Overton's still says "awaiting shipping" a week and a half after the "resolution" of this issue
