Ridiculous. Received an e-gift card from my husband for Christmas. Tried to use it online and it wouldn't go through. Contacted customer service and gift card showed as zero even though I wasn't able to place my order. Was advised to wait a week for balance to return on gift card. Waited over a week and balance was not returned. Had to call back, was advised to contact gift card services. Contacted gift card services and they confirmed the pre-auth had not been lifted, but to then call the main # again and tell them I contacted gift card services to release the hold. Why wasn't this hold lifted like I was told it would be after a week instead of having to call back about it? Finally was able to release the hold and had to place order over the phone. Spent over 2 hours total trying to get this resolved over an E gift card. Absolutely ridiculous round about customer service to get this resolved when it should have been resolved the day I initially called on 12/27.
