I recently restored an old car & its engine. Now days, engines have roller cams & lifters that don't require oil that has zinc in it. That was a concern to me because when I rebuilt the engine, I didn't know about the removal of the zinc from oils sold in the typical stores until a friend told me about it. He told me oil doesn't have zinc in it & my engine needs zinc or it will wipe out my flat tappit cam & lifters. I contacted a rep at PSC & discussed this with him & asked if there was any oil still made with zinc in it. He told me there is but likely won't find it on a shelf in a store these days. I asked what oils still have zinc, then was told, Kendall GT- 1 Compatition 20w50 is still made & it is 1 of the best oils that still have zinc in it. I looked in stores for it & without having any luck finding it decided to get back with PSC. Now I buy my oil by the case for old cars with flat tappit cams & lifters strait from PSC & don't lose sleep worrying about messing up a fresh engine. I know when I order it, how much it will cost, how much shipping will be, & how long it will be before i recieve it. I know it will take a few days before I receive it but I'm very happy that I can get my oil strait from PSC & not need to hunt around to find a store that sells oil with zinc in it.
