So I tried ordering from PartsGeek recently, and the whole experience was… honestly, a mix. Not terrible, not amazing — just one of those situations where you’re like, “Okay, I saved money, but I definitely paid for it in stress.”
The good part first:
Their prices are legit. Like, noticeably cheaper than AutoZone, O’Reilly, or the dealership. And they have a huge catalog, so finding the part wasn’t hard. Shipping wasn’t lightning fast, but it wasn’t slow either — just normal.
But here’s where it got annoying:
PartsGeek is basically a “you better know exactly what you’re buying” type of store. They don’t ask for your VIN, they don’t double‑check fitment, and their return policy is strict. If the part doesn’t fit, or arrives damaged, you’re usually stuck paying return shipping and a restocking fee. And their customer service… let’s just say it’s not the kind of place where someone jumps in to fix the problem for you.
It’s wild because reviews are split right down the middle. Some people swear by them — fast shipping, correct parts, great prices. And then others have horror stories about wrong parts, used parts sold as new, or returns denied over tiny things like “the box has grease on it.”
So would I recommend them?
Only if you’re buying a cheap part and you’re absolutely sure it fits.
If you’re ordering something expensive, something complicated, or something you might need to return, I’d skip it. The risk just isn’t worth the headache.
