I spoke with a sales person on the phone. Asked about OE fitment of their Bosch fuel pump for a 1990 Jaguar XJS. They showed three different Bosch fuel pumps for my car. The first two showed flat, spade, wiring connectors (in the listing photos) which would be correct for my car which uses spade connectors to the fuel pump. The last Bosch fuel pump was showing threaded post, wiring terminals which require ring connectors. It was listed as universal fitment. I knew I didn't want that one. I asked what was the difference between the first and second Bosch offerings. The sales person said they were the same part and both showed spade connectors. He suggested that the less expensive pump was just from a different catalog but the same as the expensive pump, so I ordered the less expensive pump. The next day, the order confirmation showed the Bosch part number being shipped was PN: 69536. This immediately told me they were shipping the wrong part. I called back and explained what they did and then they suggested that I order the most expensive pump to get the spade connectors I was seeking.... so I did. Both pumps arrived the same day and they were identical with threaded terminals. I paid two very different prices for the same pump and they were both WRONG. Parts Geek makes returns a complete hassle with no mailing label being provided for the return.
FedEx charged me over $15 per pump to send them back, and I want that return shipping cost refunded in addition to my original charges. This whole mess is the result of sales people trying to make a sale and not know what they are talking about. I will never shop for auto parts again from Parts Geek. This has been a terrible experience... and it's not over yet. NEVER AGAIN.
