My issue is not with the staff at the Allen store...I was in looking for goalie pads. I saw some pads in the store that I looked at online. On GoalieMonkey.com they were listed for $560 but in store they were over $100 more. Because they were Bauer, the store could not do any price override. I had to purchase the item from the website, while in the store. Because it was a Saturday over a holiday weekend, and I lived 1 hour away, I had to pay $14 for shipping for the exact set that was shipped to me on Tuesday from the Allen store. I confirmed because the staff member wrote a smiley face on the label in the store and that was the set I got. I know Bauer doesn't allow discounts, etc. However, if your own web has the price for lower, the store should be allowed to match that in order to eliminate all costs to shipping it, not just my cost but your cost in labor to pack it, etc. While the staff at the store were friendly about it, it would have been nice if maybe a gift card would have been offered to make up the difference that I would have paid. I would have gotten my pads right then, avoided the $14 shipping fee, and MonkeySports would have gotten the additional $100 from me as I would have spent it at some point using the gift card.

My online experience with GoalieMonkey was excellent. Unfortunately, once I had an issue and needed customer service, the experience was the complete opposite. I first tried calling several times but could not remain on hold long enough to reach anyone. I then tried the text option and received no response. I also tried the instant chat feature and again received no response. Finally, I decided to wait on hold until someone answered. I waited 1 hour and 57 seconds. I actually took a picture of the call timer because I was so shocked by the wait. When I finally reached someone, the experience did not improve. My concern was simple: the day after receiving my order, I found the same product at Pure Hockey for slightly less. I asked whether GoalieMonkey could match the price. The immediate response was essentially: “No. If you don’t like it, return it.” That was not what I was looking for. I did not want to return the product. I was satisfied with the purchase. I simply wanted to be heard and treated like a valued customer. Over the last year and a half, my son and I have spent $8,558.32 at Pure Hockey, including $4,234.71 in just the past nine months. I was genuinely looking for an alternative and had every intention of shifting more of that business to GoalieMonkey because I liked your pricing, product selection, and delivery experience. Unfortunately, after this customer service experience, I am now questioning whether I want to spend any more money with GoalieMonkey at all. Professionally, I work with multi-million-dollar organizations in leadership, sales, customer service, process, and growth strategy. Companies pay me very well to help build systems and processes that allow them to scale successfully. So I say this with respect, but also very directly: You have a customer service problem. If someone asked me today whether I would recommend GoalieMonkey, my answer would be absolutely not. Not because your products are inferior. They are not. Not because your pricing is worse — in many cases, it is actually better. Not because your delivery is slower — my experience has been that it is faster than Pure Hockey. In fact, in those areas, my experience with GoalieMonkey has been better. The issue is entirely the customer service experience. I can see that GoalieMonkey is growing and opening additional locations, and that is great. But growth without the proper customer service infrastructure can become a serious problem very quickly. One of the simplest rules in business is this: Customers will eventually pay more somewhere else if they are treated better. You can absolutely grow yourself out of business, and poor customer service is one of the fastest ways to do it. That is exactly where I am today. Unless someone from senior leadership reaches out to me and addresses this experience, I will continue giving that business to Pure Hockey moving forward, even if it costs me more. I am not looking for anything unreasonable. I simply want someone at the appropriate level of the company to understand what happened and why a customer who was prepared to spend significantly more with GoalieMonkey is now prepared to walk away. I hope to hear from someone soon. P.S. Feel free to review the call logs, text records, chat history, or any CRM notes associated with my account. had to complete the checkout twice. got a red error bar the first time I tried to order, since the site said i'd get an additional $12 off if I signed in before finalizing checkout. When I did this the order glitched and I had to try again. I work in software, so I'm assuming this was because the login prompt interrupted the checkout call to the ordering database.

I accidentally placed the same order 3 times because I clicked "pay" too many times. I was able to text with Goalie Monkey, and the rep got back to me after looking into the issue and confirmed all three of the mistaken orders I placed were cancelled, and I was not charged! The texting was easy and convenient.

High price compared to other sites plus the shipping cost was $14. So what wouldn't been $29 and free shipping now cost me $54 just because another site didn't have the size I needed. Disappointing. Also 11 days for shipping that I'm paying $14 for is excessive

Trying to navigate your site is very difficult. It takes a long time to go from one screen to another. Love the products but the quickness of the site has to be worked on it's extremely slow!!

I've been going back and forth on purchasing these items. Its my son's 9th birthday in a few days and he wanted a new goalie pads, his size now is 28+1or2. So I went hunting for them, I found the goalie pads at the store called "play it again" sports, and I bought them used. I've been working so hard to clean them and make them look more presentable for my son and I notice they are missing one of the toe tie straps, so I started researching everywhere to find a pair. Looks like Bauer is jot making that type anymore so its hard to find now because its out of stock mostly everywhere. I found some on ebay from a seller in Canada, but it was more expensive because of the import fees. Until I found them at this website, I was very excited when I saw the price, so I added to my cart y when I click on check out -oh surprise- you guys are charging $14usd for shipping! This is a package that barely weights a few ounces! I think $14usd to ship it its outrageous. I believe a shipping price should be the reflection of the item weight and size, because not always a fixed shipping price works for all items. So I didn't ordered then, I wasn't convice to pay that much for shipping. But now my son's birthday is in a few days, he is turning 9, and I grabbed his -new to him- pads to keep cleaning them, when I notice again the missing toe tie, so I decided to do some sacrifice somewhere else and just order it. Honestly the website is cool, the huge arrange of different goalie products is amazing, but I don't think I'd buy again from you if im only buying a small item, because I dont believe the shipping price is fair.
