my initial order arrived in just three business days, but unfortunately, the box was severely damaged in transit and several key components—specifically the head assembly and hitch ball—were missing. I contacted customer service right away, and they were very responsive, placing an order for the missing parts the same day.
When the replacement parts arrived, they turned out to be incorrect. After some investigation, customer service discovered that Blue Ox had recently updated their parts without updating the corresponding replacement part numbers—hence the mix-up. Since the correct components weren’t in stock, eTrailer went the extra mile: they opened a new kit, pulled the correct parts, and shipped them to me via 2-day priority.
Thankfully, the third shipment had everything I needed, and I now have the complete, correct hitch. Throughout the process, the customer service team was outstanding—responsive, helpful, and clearly committed to resolving the issue. They also provided prepaid return labels for the incorrect parts.
That said, based on my experience and other reviews, it's clear that the original Blue Ox packaging isn't sufficient for a 102 lb product. The damaged box likely caused the missing parts issue in the first place. I hope eTrailer considers reinforcing the packaging for future shipments to help prevent this from happening again.
