I accessed the website as I got a notification of a 40% discount on Capezio tights. However on the styles that my daughter wanted there was none but she convinced me to but anyways as as the semester approaches sometimes shops are out of items.

Had a hard time figuring out sizing for the leggings. size chart showed great variance in hip and waist. ended up buying two sizes because of the disparity and hoping one of them works

I will not buy from you again. I have bought jazz shoes for my son in the past and was able to return/ exchange them if needed. This time, I bought a size thinking it would fit. It did not. When I went to start a return, the website said you do not take returns any longer. Now I am out sixty dollars and have to find dance shoes on another site. If you had the return exchange policy still, I would still be buying from you.

I liked 4 of the 5 leotards I purchased, but even though I referred to the size guide for each one, all of them were too short (they fit, but not comfortably). The 1 leotard that I didn't like was not shown properly on the website in all of the photos for that particular color leotard. There were strings near the hips to cinch the legs, but the photo shown on the webpage for the royal blue color (the one I purchased), didn't show the strings. I didn't look at the photos of the other colors because I didn't want any of them. Therefore, I was surprised when I receive the leotard. There was no way to hide the strings - you could see them from the outside no matter what I did. I emailed DDS twice with photos (the one from their website that showed no strings, and a photo of the actual leotard I received with strings) to show them the issue, and did not receive a reply. I finally called their customer service line and while the representative finally agreed to refund the price of the leotard (a little begrudgingly), she did not refund the tax I paid on the leotard. It was only a couple of dollars, but I've never experienced this with any other company - usually the sales tax is also refunded when a purchase is refunded. The customer service in general (email and phone) felt less than average.

the site had issues checking out with paypal. some items were listed on the site but redirected to check out on Capezio's site, which was frustrating. They would end up being out of stock on Capezio's site. Overall, the no-frills approach to the site works for me. It's easy to navigate. However every single item was final sale, which made me hesitant to purchase certain things. I ended up passing on several items I would've otherwise purchased, only because there's a chance they may not fit my daughter. I would love a size chart from the brands for the listings, because they do vary quite a bit.

Check out was easy. I had a hard time figuring out good sizing for ballet shoes even with the size guide so I didn’t purchase because I was unsure of the return policy. The leotard I purchased said no returns and then when I was checking out it said 60 day returns. So that was unclear to me.

I was frustrated that the tracking number given for the order was incorrect so I couldn't track it accurately. It's important for where we live to be able to look for the package when it arrives and I was unable to do that.

Normally, I really love DD and have purchased there multiple. This time, though, they have changed their policy so that all sales are final. I didn't realize this. That is hard for buying shoes because you can't ever really know if they'll fit. I won't be buying shoes from DD anymore. I'll probably still consider them for leotards and tights.

The website is easy to navigate and familiar in setup, as I have shopped from Discount Dance for many years. The one difficulty is that I could not find the lookup for my dance studio to add teacher code to my order.

First, the items leotards I wanted, and had ordered in the past, were not available. i chose others, ordered three leotards. the packing slip said there were three items but there were only two. i tried calling customer service phone number on my confirmation email. It was no longer in service. I Googled customer service number, called maybe eight or nine times, and it was busy each time. I emailed customer service. They responded promptly, apologized, and said they would issue a refund. I would have preferred for them to mail out the missing item as I had purchased it on sale and now I can't do that.

Overall I enjoyed my experience on the website today! I was excited to see the Memorial Day sale and got what I needed for super affordable. Unfortunately there were items that were either unavailable or you did not sell that I had to purchase from another place, those including a nude bra and leotard in my skin tone (Bloch and a few others have such a wide variety of skin tone options but I did not see those brands on the site) and Jazz shoes with little to no heel on them. I also did not enjoy having to pay about 10.00 for shipping when all I purchased was 4 leotards that could very well fit in an envelope. Overall great experience!
