I drove up to Rush City from Edina to purchase a Klock Werks windshield for my 2025 Road Glide. I purchased a used windshield that was available in the tint that I wanted. The web store only lists the windshield, and states it is a fit for my bike. It does not indicate that mounting hardware comes with the purchase. So, I wanted to inspect the windshield prior to purchase. The individual behind the counter took the windshield out of the box (there was no protective film on the windshield and was loosely wrapped with bubble wrap). I was satisfied with the condition and went ahead and bought it. The individual asked me if I wanted it back in the box and I declined, not wanting the plexiglass rubbing on the box. When I got home and placed the windshield on the bike I immediately knew there is mounting hardware needed. I called and was transferred to customer service and the lady was of little help and quite frankly, rude. She insisted there is no mounting hardware because the website states just the windshield and it is a perfect fit. I asked her to pull a new windshield to verify mounting hardware is included, and initially was resistant to that request. I then asked to be called back, and waited about an hour and no call. I decided to drive the hour drive back up to see what the resolution would be. When I got there the individual called in her manager and I was hopeful for better service, but felt that I was just a pain in her day. She also stated there is no mounting hardware because the website did not state that it is included. We went back and forth, when a young lady showed up with a small package in hand, which turned out to be the mounting hardware. No where in this process would I have known special mounting hardware was needed. However, when I was about to leave the manager made a comment as this whole thing was my fault saying that when I took the box with windshield it fell out. I never took the box for reasons I mentioned earlier. Not once was there a ‘sorry for the inconvenience’. I truly felt I was simply an pain in their $&@. Earlier in the day I was excited to come to Dennis Kirk and try out the in person ordering. It is a great benefit for those who live in driving distance. However, the customer experience I had was more that disappointing when I started asking for help. I appreciate the ability to communicate my frustration.
