This isn’t my first purchase from Dennis Kirk, either recently or back in the day. I stopped riding about 13 years ago, but recently got back into it and purchased a Wide-Tripper rear solo seat and my helmet from Dennis Kirk, and now these brake pads.
I finally went ahead and created an account with this order. Honestly, I normally hate signing up for accounts—more emails, more stuff to opt out of, and more of my information floating around out there. But I realized I’ve already spent around $600–$800 with Dennis Kirk since getting back into riding, so I figured it was time.
So far, it’s been a very positive experience. I got an incredible deal on the seat at about 30% off—gotta love that. These brake pads were a little salty, but they’re high-end brake pads, so I knew what I was getting into.
I definitely see myself continuing to buy from Dennis Kirk, just like I did years ago.
As for the 13-year break from riding, my daughter was about five when I stopped. I remember riding home one day and realizing it just wasn’t a good day—I felt like I could have died ten different times on that ride. With a five-year-old daughter at home, I decided the bike could wait.
She’s almost 18 now, so after 13 years, I decided it was finally time to get back on two wheels. It’s good to be riding again, and it’s good to see Dennis Kirk is still a place I can count on for parts and gear.
