Post-Delivery FeedbackApr 26, 2026
Here's the disappointment with my whole Dennis Kirk order experience. I was in need of the fuel lines, (open and reserve), from the gas tank to the petcock, in addition to the internal fuel screen/filterfor my 2006 Honda CRF450X SuperMoto, and found that all three items were both scarcely avaliable and if found ridiculously over priced. The obviously better choice, was to find the whole petcock assembly as a complete rebuild kit. This turned out to be the most highly available and honestly, the complete and absolute right way to service that particular section of the fuel system. However, although the availability of these kit are more than plentiful as well as reasonably priced from $20 - $40 dollars, I found myself back at square one, because every kit I'd find was for every year and model of the Honda CRF family except the 450's, both "R" & "X" versions. Apparently the 450 shares nothing in common with the 250 and smaller motorcycle petcock fuel system assembly. I don't know the exact difference details other than the petcock hole alignment is different, which lead me to realize probably the I.D. of both the lines and the petcock are smaller tho accommodate fuel flow for the appropriate motors size and demand. Regardless, other than the scarce availability for the larger 450's, they ALL have one thing, across the board, in common. That goes for ALL the available kits, whether they're called a petcock assembly kit or complete fuel screen rebuild kit, they ALL come complete. Complete with the internal screen and every gasket, oring, line clamps, (hose clamps), for everything entailed with the fuel delivery system from the tank to the carburetor, even the two mounting bolts for the petcock. This is where the great disappointment with my Dennis Kirk order comes in play. The total cost for this, as described on line on your site, as a COMPLETE petcock fuel kit, was $60.84
At this price, and please don't get me wrong, although that cost is considerably higher than most, I really don't mind paying for an item that is both complete and is of superior quality, but to my surprise.... rather my disappointment, when I opened my delivered order and found the kit had everything from the petcock to the carburetor, house clamps and two bolts to mount the new petcock, but NO gaskets, orings or seals of any kind, and MOST disappointing NO INTERNAL FUEL SCREEN TUBE! I mean, what's the point of replacing the two lines from the tank to the petcock, the petcock and line to the carburetor, if your internal fuel screen oring and seals are bad? Even Honda sells their petcock rebuild kit, for a bit more, but their rebuild kit IS COMPLETE with the internal fuel screen and ALL gaskets deals and orings in addition to EVERYTHING your petcock kit has. This order is a COMPLETE lose for me, it's pointless to return it, that'll just cost me way more than it's worth. I'm having to do what I should've done in the first place, go to my local Honda dealer, pay the higher Honda dealer price, but wall away golden in both peace of mind and money in my pocket instead of thrown into some online money eating money blender. The thing is, I should known better, and I DID and DO know better, but chose to go against my own better judgment and went for the described, "All Ballz Out" complete petcock rebuild kit from your site. I won't expect ANY compensation or diligent response regarding this matter and the misleading description of what's included in your COMPLETE kit
