As a new member of North Georgia GMRS network, I wanted to be sure I had a solid radio. I drove to your store and bought my KG 935 G Plus, in person. Had some early programming issues, but support helped. All radio checks, I was told it sounded excellent. I have constantly recommenced to all, the Melowave Bandit G antenna.
But I will be sending the radio back for replacement very soon. I have called support about this, followed the advise but nothing is working. The radio keeps clearing out some tones, tx,rx, or both on random channels. Causing me to constantly checking winch ones are cleared Now the problem has spread to the transmit power settings. It will default back to low power setting. Again constant checking the settings. I have found forums that state that China uses cheap low grade memory chips in these radios. I will stay with the 935 G Plus I am able to hit our primary repeater almost 45 miles away from my living room.
I also have the XS20G that use for my base/ mobile using Ed Fong J pole, and the Melowave trunk mount
I also purchased an 18 inch adapter . That cable was DOA after about 10 days of gentle use in my living room.
