Post-Delivery FeedbackDec 16, 2025
I orderderd 2 front knuckel hub assemblies from 1a auto. I could have ordered them from one of other 3 online places cheeper, but chose to order from 1a auto hoping that quality and service would be much better. Ordering the parts, was not to bad.Customer service took a day to respond to my email.but when they did, it was very thorough and helpful.
I placed the order and even paid the highest extra shipping so parts would arrive the next day.Everything started to go downhill from there. The tracking showed order was shipped and by next morning was sitting on a truck at ups in Galesburg il. ,literally 20 min from me. And early that morning the tracking status was updated to say the package would be delivered by 3pm that day.
I checked again late morning and the tracking status changed to waiting to see when will be delivered.i understand the weather was not the greatest, but they had plenty time to deliver before weather got bad. So i called the ups facility, and asked if it was going to be delivered, and if not could i just come and pick up the package since i took the day off work to repair this car. They said no...package would not be delivered that day and didnt know when it would be delivered, because they sent everyone home at the facility because of the weather. And no that i couldnt come pick up package because mo one was there at their facility.so then i called 1a auto and said everything that happened. At first i was told i had to wait and see if package would be delivered on time...which i told them again, i was already instructed by a ups supervisor the package would not be delivered for prob at least a few days. So then 1a auto had me talk to supervisor, they said they would monitor tracking and if package was not delivered on sat as promised, that they would refund the extra shipping cost and do it automatically without me having to call. Finally late Monday morning, packake arrived at my home. Box was damaged with large hole in bottom side.so i opened box to inspect parts, and notice one of the assemblies studs on hub had been josseled enough that the stod was poking through protective bag. So i checked hub bearing rotation on that part and it was very choppy while spinning bearing.after continusally spinnging bearing back and forth. Movement got smoother and it seemed to be better. Hoping part is ok,because putting part on is a pain and time consuming and i do not want to do it again. The other knuckel hub assembly for the other side seemed to be fine. No visible damage to bag and part or hub rotated very smoothly.
Im hoping both parts are correct and work fine.
Hopefully if i decide to purchase from 1a auto again....my expierance is much ,much better.
Thank you.
