I’ve used 1A Auto multiple times for suspension and steering components and generally appreciate the pricing, availability, and instructional videos. The website is easy to navigate and finding the correct parts for my vehicle is straightforward.
That said, I’ve had mixed experiences with part longevity. In this case, a control arm/ball joint assembly failed prematurely during normal use. I perform my own installs carefully and follow proper procedures, but the ball joint boot tore during removal and the joint showed signs of early wear compared to OEM components.
I do appreciate how easy it is to request replacements and that customer support is responsive. The replacement process itself is simple and much better than many competitors. I just wish durability and component quality were more consistent, especially for parts that require significant labor to replace.
Overall, I continue to use 1A Auto because of convenience, pricing, and support, but improved quality control on suspension components would make the experience much better for DIY customers.
