OMG So I was so excited to place an over $100 order from my fav candle company Yankee Candles! Been such a longtime Customer! Luv their products! It was on their yearly semiannual sale! Ordered some gifts to put away for Xmas! You know those things you like to give to the mailman, hairdresser, etc. anyway got some candles for the house too! Actually looking forward to this new scent! sun lemon something white , lemony and clean fresh smelling! I love it! They had sent me a free sample on my previous order, & I just really love it! Couldn’t wait to get it. My order arrived in 3 boxes. First box ok, second box two broken candles glass all over, seriously almost got cut getting the broken candles out, and of course it was the sun one for me:(
Then another broken smaller one!
Third box small- oh you could hear the glass when you moved box😳Yikes! This was the candle I was super excited about of course! Great pricing, my fav xmas smell Magical 🎄 Xmas ! Badly smashed. Two candles in that box. I can’t believe the other one survived. Just two candles with brown paper on top! Bad wrapping, so disappointing!
Took a while to get a response from my message I left on line, but I figured hey weekend & big sale, I’m sure I’m not the only person with broken things. It just kept taking a while with this game of tag, like I’d get message back if you’d like a refund ? Really? Duh! I want my candles. So I ask if my candles could be replaced? They said no they were out of stock. I pull up site. They are all there! What’s happening here! So I ask if I can get my sun candle and a refund on others is fine. Oh we don’t typically do this but I’ll make an exception for you, text me back if this is what you want the candle you’ll get a code to put in at no cost and a refund. So I have to text back once again! OM gosh! Then she says it might be a few days before you get the code. Here is the number. It’s of course a zillion numbers & letters long ok maybe 25! Still omg! Can’t figure it out! Yes I’m prob not the sharpest crayon in the box when it comes to tech! I’m a grandma and a great grandma!
Then a couple day later, just when I said forget it, I get an email. Still haven’t done it. Will try soon. What a fiasco. You know overall I’ve ordered many times as well as shopped in store. I will remain a customer. This is just a person that should not be packing candles without more guidance. A very busy sale. And S__t
Happens. Still a huge fan of Yankee Candles. If packer would have just used those cardboard candle holders for packing! Wow that would’ve worked! :)
