As someone with a larger bust and a smaller band size, finding bras that fit properly, provide enough support, and are actually comfortable can be a challenge. My cup size typically falls between DDD and F, which has often limited my options when it comes to styles and colors I genuinely like.
I recently started shopping at Victoria’s Secret again, and I've been pleasantly surprised by their expanded selection for larger cup sizes. It's refreshing to have more choices beyond the basic black, beige, and white options that used to be available in my size. Even better, I don't feel like I have to sacrifice comfort or support just to wear something that makes me feel confident and attractive.
One of the biggest improvements I've noticed is the comfort, especially with the underwire. I've had bras from other companies where the underwire curves so awkwardly that it digs into my armpits throughout the day. I've also struggled with overly thick straps that show under tank tops, wide back bands that are difficult to conceal, and bra designs that aren't cut low enough for lower-neckline tops.
Thankfully, I haven't experienced any of these issues with the bras I've recently purchased from Victoria’s Secret! The underwire sits comfortably without digging into my sides, and the thinner straps and bands make it much easier to wear my favorite tops without my bra being so visible.
I know thinner straps aren't everyone's preference, especially when it comes to supporting a larger bust, but I've been genuinely impressed. Even with the weight of my bust, the straps don't dig into my shoulders, and I still get the lift and support I need. The slimmer back bands have also been surprisingly comfortable without creating the noticeable bulging I've experienced with other bras.
What I appreciate most is that I can finally have support, comfort, and attractive designs all in one. I've tried companies that specialize in bras for larger busts, and while some offer cute patterns, the bras themselves can feel bulky, overly conservative, or downright uncomfortable. A pretty pattern doesn't mean much when you're spending the entire day being stabbed in the armpit by an underwire from a bra that supposedly fits! It's difficult to feel confident or sexy when you're constantly uncomfortable.
I also appreciate the variety of payment options available. Having that flexibility makes it easier to purchase bras I both want and need, especially when finding a good fit isn't always easy or inexpensive.
My biggest disappointment was that several of the colors I was most excited about were already sold out in my size. Fortunately, I was still able to find some of my second-choice colors that I liked.
Overall, I'm really happy with the improvements Victoria’s Secret has made. It's wonderful to find bras that provide the support I need without compromising comfort, style, or confidence. I hope they continue expanding their selection for larger cup sizes and improving color availability, especially for those of us with smaller band and larger cup size combinations.
