I love tarte products therefore after seeing an influencer talk about the sugar Rush lip balm (rose) I had to have it. I placed my order online, ordering this product that I watched an influencer talk about, was able to put it in my cart along with a few other items and make my purchase. Once I received my order, there was something in there that wasn’t what I had purchased, but the rose sugar Rush lip balm was not in there. The company had took it upon themselves to replace what I ordered with some other product that I had never heard of or seen before and did not want. When I emailed them to let them know that I received the wrong item. They told me that I had in fact ordered that item. I then proceeded to send them a copy of my Receipt showing what I had actually ordered. They then quickly told me that that item was discontinued but instead being honest about the mistake, they blamed me stating that I had in fact ordered what they sent me, it wasn’t until I sent them a copy of my receipt that they then said oh that item is discontinued. They lied to me and treated me poorly when I called them out in my opinion. I really wanted the product I ordered not the impostor they sent me! It may have been OK with me had they asked if I wanted to replace it with something else and given me the option to choose what it was replaced with but they didn’t even do that. They said I would have have to send back the bogus item they sent me before a refund could happen, because of their negligence, I have to jump through hoops to meet their requirements, unacceptable! They ended up telling me I would receive a $10.82 refund within 7 to 10 days. Still waiting to see if that happens… still love tart probably always will just need to work on your customer service.
