Post-Delivery FeedbackJun 19, 2025
When I first tried to order the paper shredder, the site told me that before I could be approved, I would have to pay a down payment of $20.89. This was in late May. Since I had to wait till I received my Social Security check in mid-June, I was unable to order immediately.
When the check was deposited in my account about two weeks later, I then went to the Stoneberry website and found the page that had told me a down payment was essential in order to complete my order.
So, I deliberately went to the exact page stating a down payment was first needed to complete the order. Clicked on the 'make the down payment' and figured that was taken care of.
But when I received TWO emails telling me TWO orders were on their way with different order numbers, I was confused. I had NOT ordered the same item twice. That would be unnecessary, and I was baffled. However, two different reps could not explain why this had happened. Even the supervisor I was finally transferred to said it was probably a glitch in the system.
Now, I have to return one and luckily a return label was included.
HOWEVER, every person I spoke with told me that the return label was INSIDE the box! Now, I hated to open the second box unnecessarily, but I needed the label. FORTUNATELY, I noticed the bulging address label on the OUTSIDE of the box and retrieved the return label situated BEHIND the original shipping label...meaning no one I spoke with knew where the label actually was and gave me erroneous information. Don't know if this is lack of training or badly written instructions but only because of the work experience in my past was I able to deduce where to look for the label, because opening the initial box proved there was NO LABEL INSIDE with the product.
This was not a serious issued BUT there are some people who either will make it into one or don't have the knowledge or frankly common sense to figure this out. And though I realize that everyone makes mistakes, some people are not very understanding that not everyone walks on water, so that is the only reason I mention this in detail - it will hopefully assist your employees in the future.
