I always have an easy time ordering from Spring Hill. I have had good luck with all plants I have purchased over the years, so I keep coming back when the need arises.

I like the plants I ordered but am not happy with when they shipped, the instructions in the packaging, the packaging or customer service. First, my order shipped way too early. I live in zone 7B; my plants shipped the first week of March. When I called to asked why they were shipped at this time, I was told USDA recommended it. Well, not only do I not even start planting or even get my hose out of the shed until the first week in May, temperatures will be in the low 30s this week. I was also told I could leave everything in a cool garage for up to 3 weeks - that would put it the first week in April, again, too early. Secondly, one of my plants was supposed to be shipped in a 1 qt container per the website. I came in a plastic bag. Not what I expected and not as advertised. Additionally, except for explaining how deep to plant and sun exposure, there were no instructions on how much or how often to water when first planting, in the first year or afterwards. Thirdly, I called to ask for watering instructions about 10 days ago. I called during working hours but for some reason the call went to voicemail. As of now, I'm still waiting for someone from Spring Hill Nursery to return my call. Not impressed. I with the Customer Service, shipping dates and packaging and planting/watering instructions were all better because I would love to order more of Spring Hill Nursery's beautiful flowers.

I ordered a Columnar Hibiscus. It arrived in good condition and is still alive and thriving but it was only 2-3 inches tall!!! I didn’t realize I would be nurturing it in my window sill for a couple of years before it’s big enough to plant.

The problem I had with Spring Hill is that the info I saw on website was that shipping would start week of Feb.19, 2024. That timing is the middle of Winter in my area (NYC). I called and the representative said the shipments start in Southern region of Zone 7 so you should expect delivery in March. I did, however, receive my first order on Feb. 16, 2024 and my second order on Feb. 21, 2024. So, of course, I have been unable to plant anything so far. That means I have no idea how my plants will do. So I am not pleased at this time.

Asked for a gift certificate for a humpback whale hosta. ordered the hosta for Spring and found some coneflowers for my pollinator garden which is a bonus. Love what I find here.

I am so glad I found Spring Hill! I remember it from when I was little and my parents and grandparents used it faithfully and were so excited to get their catalogs. I ordered a Japanese red pine tree. Customer Service called to chat with me and check on my order; They promised to send the end of February and spot on, it arrived right on time! It came beautifully healthy and ready to plant! Just beautiful! Really happy I have found them! Thank you Spring Hill!!

I ordered tow clematis plants. Even though they looked tiny on receiving, they are growing well and fast. I was a little concerned when fedex said the order is delayed by 3 days since they are live plants but they came in good shape. Overall, very satisfied so far, still need to wait and see how the flowers turn out.. Also waiting for another plant to be shipped
